Submit

Blue Bus Publishing is now accepting submissions for Issue 3 of Journal from the Heartland.

We are seeking short stories, anecdotal & environmental narratives, historical musings, and poetry for our next publication, which we aim to have available to the public in 2019. We primarily accept submissions from writers with connections to Wisconsin even though we would be willing to consider surrounding states. The connection might be defined as from someone local resident (in state) writing about this area, but it could also include a piece about our area, that is the heartlands,  not necessarily by a local writer. I’m liking, “Life in the Heartland.” Any topics are acceptable. The deadline for all submissions is, at the moment, is some time in 2019 – 11:59 PM, Central Standard Time (CST). This means one can submit at any time but one day there will be a deadline because that is when we are about to stat the book.  How bout them apples?

Guidelines:

– double-spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman font

– under 4,000 words

– include name, phone number, and email address in the body of your email or a cover letter

–  include a 2-3 sentence bio describing yourself

– send your submission as a .doc or .docx attachment with title and page numbers included on the document

Our main criterion for selection is quality.

Published authors will receive a complimentary copy of the issue in which the work appears.

Send ALL submissions to:
